I graduated from The Burnley School of Art in Seattle in 1980 and have worked as a graphic designer for over 30 years. I have been painting in watercolors since 2002. I like to paint landscapes, florals, still life, abstracts and whatever subject matter that interests me. Most of my landscapes, still life and florals are from photos I've taken of places I've been and flowers and other subject matter that have caught my eye. My style is realistic but I also like to occasionally paint in a looser style, especially when I do work that is more abstract. I work mostly in watercolors but also in colored pencil and acrylics. I also occasionally work in charcoal, oil pastels and pencil. I've shown my work in various juried shows over the years and many of my watercolors have been on display at Evergreen Hospital and Snoqualmie Valley Hospital. I've also been part of the Kirkland Artwalk and Kirkland Summerfest in recent years and I'm a member of Gallery North in Edmonds. I have lived in the Pacific Northwest my whole life and feel privileged to be able to attempt to capture the beauty of this area in my art.
